Hey Kashi. I got a 35 too. Maybe it's a Minnesota thing Of course, some of the questions should be re-written: For example, "have you ever been to a restaurant that _has_ valet parking?"

50.

Of course you know that to be truly frugal (as opposed to cheap), you wouldn't be in most of those situations. I've been to plenty of valet parking restaurants, but I've gotten to them by bus. And if you're walking in, who is gonna know?

Your score = 45

What does your score mean?
While you may not be the cheapest person on earth, you do have some stingy tendencies. In certain situations, you get a tight grip on that cash and there's no way you're letting go. At other times, however, you let the coins flow like a river. It might depend on your mood that day or whether you're making a conscious effort to tighten the purse strings because of a precarious financial situation. There's also the possibility that there are certain things you don't mind splurging on, while others just aren't worth the sacrifice for you. Whatever your situation, this is probably a reasonable, healthy way to be. Just keep that balance between enjoying your money and thinking of the long-term repercussions of overspending, and you should be on the road to monetary stability.

50 - But I think some were poorly written too. I have only once bought an article of clothing with tags on and then returned it. I went out of town to a company Christmas party and totally forgot my shoes. 30 minutes before starting, I ran out and bought a pair and wore them that night. It was carpeted and clean inside, so I just buffed them up a bit, and returned them. Just that one question added 10 points on.

I had that happen only I had to ask my mom to buy them and she bought the wrong size so I was planning on keeping them but couldn't. Actually she may have kept them so I might give 10 points back.

I'm a 50. Frugality is definately determined by the mood I am in.

I scored 50, but I am more cheap than it shows. For instance, I rarely eat at restaurants, but when I do, I only drink water & my girls have to share a meal since it's too much food for them anyway. But I usually just eat at McDonald's off their dollar menu, and we only get 2 items each, and then I stop at Walmart for their $0.25 soda. So I don't think the test is an acurate rating of someone's frugality.

I think it could be more in-depth. 10 questions are hit or miss, and there's a ton of stuff missing.

I just wanted to add that even though my score was 80 I do not stiff a waitress or when I go out to eat I do pay for my own so I really don't know how I got the score 80. I am very frugal to the bone but will not stiff anybody.

I got a 60 but the hotel question was not fair, I would have suggested another hotel more in my price range. but they didn't give that option.
