Default Water

The first thing I did to increase my water was start watering down everything. I started with a splash which I hardly noticed (in soda seltzer and filtered in juice, and koolaid) then increased it a bit at a time. I am up to half and half or more water. (cept no more soda, pregnant again) Right now I couldn't drink straight juice if my life depended on it! (it has been about 4 years)

I also have a newish rule with my kids (to save on milk) that we alternate, water between every beverage. and I follow the rule myself sometimes (but I do have multiple glasses of water in a row lots)

I couldn't drink local water so I have to have a brita filter, but honestly I don't change the thing all that often so it is still cheaper than flavoring. I even have a small sportbottle thing that has a filter in it for when we travel.

My guys all get to pick out a fancy water bottle occasionally. This is what they use all the time then. Water is the main beverage here, with pop on occasion. The bottles are all dishwasher safe & get cleaned out frequently.
All of my guys here have speech difficulties, so the water bottle idea started from a speech therapists suggestion years ago............using a straw strengthens the muscles in and around the mouth. So, sports bottles with straws are the way to go for us!
Saves on all the glasses when people just want a "little drink"
