Default Electric costs

Does anyone know of a website that gives recent prices to run various electrical appliances?? I found a couple, but they were very dated. I am trying to show my kids the costs of leaving lites on, refreg and freezer doors open, and why we are hanging clothes instead of using the dryer. My house is all electric, so it is electric prices I am looking for. I looked at the electric companies website, but it was not of any help.

I'm not sure how current the info. is, but the price for electricity is given at the bottom and (unless you have really new, efficient, appliances) I'd bet the electric consumption rates are pretty accurate. If you know your electric rates (should be on your bill) you can convert to be closer to the actual cost in your area. (If you need help on the conversion let me know . . . I'm a stay-at-home mom who spent her "former life" as a physics teacher )
