How often do you bathe - take a shower?

I have really thick frizzy hair so it doesnt even START to look good until the second day. I must wash it though (depending on what I am doing) the fourth or fifth day. All bets are off though, if I work out.

i shower daily, but wash my hair every couple days, its long and dry so gotta give it a chance to build up some natural oils. i do do that trick on long trips tho, its a 15 hr drive with kid pit stops to mich from mo, and just driving makes me feel nasty, it helps to take a cloth and wipe down during stops. the climate changes, the elevation its all a factor.

I personally prefer to shower 1-2x a day & I wash my hair once a week.
But my oldest dd is insistant on 2x a day, she's only 3 & thinks it's a water park & could spend her whole day in there
Dh thinks it's his personal hiding spot, so he's in the tub atleast an hour everyday!

I think my il's only go 1x a week or maybe everyother day or so. They wash up daily. They do this because they are older and have a hard time getting in & out of the tub.

i prefer my jaquizzi tub,lol, but i know its expensive. so i do that like once a week and shower daily, wash hair every other day. when im in the shower, i leave a cloth covering the drain, so that the bottom fills with water, giving my feet a good soaking while cleaning.

Well, I hose off every six months or so, whether I need it or not!!

If I'm not leaving the house, sometimes I'll go a few days between showers. I'll wash from the top down, so my legs and feet get clean without wasting time (and water.)

The kids get a shower only once or twice a week (more in the hot summer).

I love hot baths, the hotter the better. In an effort to save money I limit them or sometimes I let my DS2 have the water after it has cooled to a normal person's bath temperature. My DH and I believed for years in the old "Save water shower with a friend". Having a little one put a cramp in that. So each of us get clean daily, at least once. We don't pay for water though so it isn't all that bad.

My husband and I enjoy getting in the jacuzzi each night, especially when it is cold like now. We sit there, with candlelight and drinks. My next jacuzzi is going to have a mini bar next to it.

I am every second day person but I do have extra shower if I am going out and I also wash my hair at the same time. I wash my hair every four days if not going out.

We pay for our water here and heading for level three water restrictions very soon! I live alone and I have managed to get my water usage down from 42kl to 15kl per quarter. We pay .89c per 1000 litres here.

I shower every day! Granted, if I'm off work and in the house the entire day (which is rare), then I might skip my shower, depending on how I feel (usually I don't, though). If I'm in an extreme hurry and don't have time for a shower, or I don't have to go to work but need to leave the house for minor errands (grocery store, etc.), I'll do a "wipe-up" or "bathe off" where I stand over the sink and wash all of the "essential" places (face, ears, underarms, private places...you get the picture).

When I was growing up, I lived up in an old, drafty house where we had no heat in the bathrooms, but we had gas space heaters in the bedrooms. During the winter months, each family member had their own plastic dishtub (like those plastic tub thingys you get at the hospital), and we would run water in the dishtub and take it to our bedrooms with a wash cloth and soap and bathe off. No different from a bath really, you just soap your body up real good and rinse it off with your wash cloth. If need be, ask another family member to wipe your back off for you! Now, I live in a house with central heat and air, so showering/bathing in the cold is no longer a concern.

I would never, ever go to work or church without having had a shower or a good wipe-up/bathe off!

As for hair, I wash my hair about once a week. But then, I'm African-American, and the texture of our hair requires that we put moisture and oil in our hair, not wash it out. Therefore, it's not necessary for us to wash our hair as often, like every day or every other day (there are exceptions...those whose hair is more "European" in texture may be prone to oiliness and may have to wash their hair more frequently; also, those with dandruff/flaking or scalp sweating problems may have to wash more frequently). Sometimes, I go two or even three weeks without washing my hair, especially if I'm wearing it slicked back with a fake ball or ponytail or if I have a fancy up-do that is done at the salon.

I shower every day, sometimes twice a day if I go to the gym. I work four 10 hour days and I get up early enough to shower before work every day. On my day off and on the weekends I might hold off on the shower and go to the gym then shower when I get back.

I,too, shower if I want to warm up in the winter, or take a cold shower in the summer. But we have a/c in this apartment so it wasn't necessary to cool down this past summer.

The only exception where I may not shower before work is if I shower at night then straighten my hair before bed (my hair is insanely curly). Even with hair straightened, I can't really go for 2 days without showering, my hair starts to feel oily (plus if there's any rain or humidity my hair starts to curl up again).
