I recently posted something similar. Over the summer we canceled our Netflix subscription after they made all kinds of changes and it was going to double in cost to keep the service the same. I currently have cable with AT&T. They also provide my land line and internet. I'm thinking about switching to dish tv. I think I could save by doing that and canceling my land line. Who has dish and likes it?

You can try hulu as they have large selection of free movies and tv shows. Most of the tv shows you can also get online directly from the broadcaster. Remember to utilize your local library. If all else fails, try Red Box, you can get new release movies for $1 and if you search online you can get a lot of promo codes for them. Perhaps if watching tv required a little more effort, it might not be worth it--and you might not miss it afterall!
