Default Washing windows

I'm getting set up for my big spring cleaning and one thing that really need to be done is our windows. They really look dirty. Do you wash your own windows and screens or do you have someone do it for you? If you do it yourself, what do you use on them? I've always used Windex but I'm sure there are self made concoctionsor other brands that work better.

I have not bought windex in YEARS. I use either vinager and water or, make my own windex. You know the automotive window wiper fluid??? The stuff that is at walmart for 88 cents a gallon??? I use 3 parts of that, with 1 part of water. Of course, I refill my old windex bottle with it......
For the screens, I blast them good with the hose with my miracle grow feeder bottle attached-but I have it dispensing soap (plain old generic dish soap). It gets the bugs or gravel dust and such of the screens.

I do about 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. I use the cheapest vinegar I can find. I use newspaper to wipe it with, or my mom uses a suiggie. If they are real dirty, I first rinse with the hose to looses spider webs and dust.
