Let me chip in first, do you know that a buckwheat pillow or a water pillow can relieve migraine, back pains, shoulder pain, and neck pain? It saves a lot of money on pain killers and chiropactic treatments.

Yoga, meditation, journaling. All you can do for free after some little learning.
Do less, I have been cutting on commitments for 2 years. My life is easier and calmer and I have not lost one friend.
Budget with joy. Money concerns are a literal pain on the neck
Declutter, less stuff, less stress

Dental bills, other than good preventitive hygiene, no idea.

Have you talked to your employer about their health benefits? Some companies offer extreamly nice plans (like mine) or others not so much... But it's always good to check!

I found a good device that help people to floss their teeth very thoroughly. It doesn't matter how deep the gum pocket is. It reduces dental office visit and remove bad breadth. It's dental flosser.

Electric toothbrush actually whiten teeth too.

Two money savers for dental bill.

If you have problems with bleeding gums or sensitivity, then you will reduce your dental visits by using the water flosser. It's about $40, but it saves dental bill

I cut back by giving myself a higher deductible on our medical and dental insurance, in order to get a lower biweekly rate on our premiums.

There is no secret to medical savings. Think prevention. Eat less, exercise more, be active in general and you will reap the benefits.

Tip: Don't go to the doctor for a cold unless your doctor has told you for a special reason to be seen for colds. Your own immune system is going to conquer the cold, not any medicine the doctor can get you.

Tip: In periods of stress get yourself out into the sunshine and get at least some light walking exercise. This might clear the head amazingly well. So there is less temptation to stew in your troubles, overeat, smoke more, drink alcohol, pop aspirin or tylenol for headaches, and all that other stuff.

I completely agree. People I work with always think I should go when my allergies kick in. Why Idk? The meds they give me are no help, would rather take a steamy shower and chicken soup.

You can raise your deductible, and likely save each month.

As a dental professional, I would advise you not be suckered into purchasing all these dental gimmicks.

There's nothing better than the conventional mechanical toothbrush and floss. Both can be purchased for around $1 each. No need to buy anything else, period! I won't get technical, but study after study has shown no advantage of using electric over mechanical toothbrushes. It becomes a matter of preference. Waterpiks, water-whatevers, are not a replacement for good ol' fashion floss. They can work well in combination with floss, but should never be substituted for floss.

If you would like to save money on dental bills I can suggest a few things. Decrease the amount of sugar, sodas, pops, sugary drinks, citrus drinks you consume/eat. Brush and floss 2-3/day and after every meal. Purchase a fluoride rinse to you daily. Receive regular re-care checks from your local dentist. Finally, do not delay treatment. I always tell my patients, its only going to get more expensive if you wait...

Hope this helps,
DRILLINDK
