Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
Monthly zero, seasonally I aim for less than 20 on each kid, with 20 a year for Dh and I as needed (usually socks). I have a lot of family who likes to buy clothes and I have a lot of handme downs availible.
Me I get more than zero spent on but it doesn't count as a budget for clothes it is all gifts, every holiday my DH gets me something. Though since I changed sizes (down ) I did get some jeans for me a couple months ago, but they were gifts too, just got them all at once.
My main clothing goal is to not overload the kids dressers (or mine), they wear the same half dozen favorites anyway so why have more than that there? Smething new would in all likelyhood replace something old, might as well wait till there is a need to replace.

That's amazing. I spend a minimum of $100 a month and usually more. Most of it is business clothing, but some is for myself too.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I'm going to guess $40 a month. I'd spend more if I made more money and if I worked somewhere where people cared about what I look like. I try to dress nicely but it's hard to care when people are wandering around in sweatpants and stained turtlenecks, KWIM? I love shoes, though.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I'm guessing $40-50/month. I do have to dress up for work, and I get tired of wearing the same dress clothes. Once these start looking bad, I recycle them down to my non-work wear...I always seem to be dressing up more now on Saturdays and Sundays because of it. Thank goodness, I'm not trying to be trendy.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I don't have a monthly budget for clothes. I am lucky if i can ever buy any. For my daughter i can get some not many hand me downs. I use freecycle to get some clothes for her and 1x for myself. My husband doesn't go through clothes that often because he works and where's work clothes. Which i now have to replace after he has had them for 5 years. I spend probally $40 a year on clothes for myself and $60 a year on my daughter. Clothing is just something that i have to make last for us. I can also sew so that helps as well.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I get each of my daughters 1 new school uniform a year-at $60 each-unless I can find one on ebay--I have gotten lucky and gotten like knew ones on ebay for around $10 a couple of times. After that, it is garage sales, and sales racks. My youngest two wear their older sisters and cousins when they outgrows them, even shoes. So, when I do buy knew, I try to for the oldest daughter. Two years ago, I tracked it and spent around $300 for the year for the entire families clothing-including fabric and notions for the sewing I did. Since the girls wear uniforms to school, it saves a lot on clothes. They can wear about anything at home and only need a couple of nicer outfits for when we are out.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I go shopping at local thrift stores probably once every two months, but I rarely spend more than $30 at a visit. My favorite store has a 2/$1 kids bin where I have gotten almost everything my boys wear. I have only bought one new outfit ever for each of my sons. They also get a lot of clothes as gifts.
I will spend more on my DH's clothes since he has to dress up for work - but I still get the bulk of his clothes used. I rarely buy anything for myself anymore, although I did have to stock up on the maternity clothes for my pregnancies. I would pay about $5 an item for maternity clothes used. I also hit the garage sales all summer long (they're about to start soon!!).

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
we don't buy clothes monthly and I rarely get to go shopping. I only do it when I HAVE to. and then I try to spend as little as possible. the last time I went clothes shopping I spend I believe $25 and I got my oldest dd 3 outfits and a pair of pjs and my oldest son 2 outfits and pjs. this was when kidsrus was having an additional 50% off clearance. I am afraid of what it will cost this coming up july when I have to buy 3 kids new clothes for school this will be the first time I buy brand new stuff in along time but my dh's has a new job and money should be getting better soon.

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
oh forgot to add handmedowns are awesome expecally from friends you are shopaholics my youngest son is set til his 5 (2t-6) because of one friend and 90% of the clothes were never worn. Also check for freecycling in your area OMG i just love freecycle. They helped me clean out my closets and help me get a newer washer(working), a double stroller(i babysit this helps me be able to leave the house), computer parts(this was a life saver if we would not have gotten these I would not be online today), carseat for my youngest dd, and alot more. www.freecycle.org

Re: How much do you spend on clothes?
I don't budget for clothes. I only buy clothes for myself every 2-3 years. By that time, most things are worn out. Then I spend about $500 for new clothes.
My girls buy their own clothes since they have their own income. If they spend all their $50 monthly allotment, they don't get any clothes. They have a choice to either buy junk or clothes & other necessities.
