This year we will be at a home party so frugal. Just bringing some snacks and some sparkling wine.

Last year, we did First Night in the town next to ours. I think that was $12/person so still pretty frugal.

We never go out to anything pricey on NYE.

My brother and sister in law will be arriving the next day, so we will be home alone. My plan is to make it romantic! I will bring in dinner, light the candles, start a fire in the fireplace and probably miss the midnight thing. Oh, well! Happy New Year to all.

I too have first night in the next burb over and they charge about the same as DS's if tickets are bought in advance. However, since the weather here is usually the pits I have never gone.

OK, got my sushi on Thur for $5.99. I will do shrimp & pasta for NY day dinner. That brings the total out of pocket expense for my NYE blowout dinner to $11.72. I did skip the Baileys. Just WAAAY too expensive even on sale and the mini is $4 for under 2 oz. I will just do some coffee w/flavored creamer instead. There is enough of everything to have at least 1 more meal. I will be using potato + fixings, romaine and salad dressing I have on hand.
