I got a letter (and a check for $277
) from my auto insurance company today. Seems that my college's alumni federation struck a group discount of 10% for Liberty Mutual auto or home customers. They also have a "college education" discount for graduates of a 4-year college. They automatically adjusted my premium to reflect the discounts and sent the check to me automatically (the alumni association must have sent them a list of members). Call your insurance company to see if they have such a discount, and/or call your alumni association to see if you can get this group deal going for your school. I'm also going to check out what else the alumni assoc has that I haven't heard of yet! |
