Question Homemade Soap Recipes help??

Does anyone make their own soap or have any soap recipes? Or even know of any good books out there?

I made some soap a year or so ago, and now I'm looking to make more, but I want to get more creative...maybe even start to sell some bars. I want to add some ingredients such as oatmeal, apricots, milk, etc

What I did in the past, was get some soap blocks of glycerin, and then melt it down, and add food coloring and pour it in a mold.

Thanks.

I looked at soap making, it really involves lye and ash, not quite my cup of tea. I am not sure how good it would be for the skin either. Oh and I got a virus on my machine googling it, so I am not going back.

That's why I don't want to deal with the lye. I'm only interested in using glycerin, the type you just have to remelt

I make my own liquid hand soap but all I do is put graded up bars of soap into a ketcup bottle (cleaned) with lots of water after awhile you have to add more water and shake it up abit but it makes a bar and a half last a LONG time. I think it has lasted us so far about 2 months.
