Default Send emails instead of fax

This is a great way to save money in offices and at home. This saves paper, ink, call tariff and electricity.

So, try to send emails instead of fax as much as possible.

Good idea with one exception - anything you do not want made public.

Yes, emails also keep the documents safe. there is no risk of somebody else receiving it unless the mail account is hacked.

This is a great point. Fax seems to be getting phased out in most businesses. Email is simply better. It is faster, cheaper, easier.

At my job we go through quite a lot of paper, and we used to have to fax numerous documents to our corporate office daily. But now we can scan it to our copier and email it to whoever we like--saving tons of paper.

If you do need to fax, there are free services out there that allow you to send in an email which is converted to a fax and faxed to the number you put in.
