Default Hubbies who wont pack

I have noticed several other places posters saying their DHs wont pack a lunch. I know my DH was perfectly willing to do it, if he woke up in time. And if there was a convenient premade whatever to stuff in his lunch box. So that means he mostly didn't!

I started prepacking his lunch, I would occasionally actually put it in the lunch box and put the lunch box in the fridge for him and everything. (Ok so I no longer do that, and he does it all himself.) I would recomend that to any wife wanting he DH to 'brown bag it'. I would throw in a note about how much I loved him just often enough to make him look. And I was highly insulted if he brought the food back. He learned to eat it, pitch it or store it .

If the grand total time for him is 5 minutes in the morning, it can't be more than 5 for you the night before (or the morning if your up)

My wife taught me to pack a lunch very effectively when we were in our tight money stage. She gave me the amount of money it cost for me to pack a lunch for my lunch money each morning - which was practically nothing - so I had the choice of taking money that wouldn't buy me anything to eat or make myself something quickly in the morning. I chose to eat and started to pack my own lunch.

ughhh i wish my hubby would! he has just gotten a very good paying job and he thinks because we have extra money it is ok for him to use 5 or 6 dollars a night! granted he works very hard long hours .. he has been woring 6 and 7 days a week some 12 hour shifts .. but i wish he would at least take some can drinks instead of buying them out of a machine.. i even bought him those freezer things ot keep the cans cold! he has yet to use them!...it just burns me up to pay a dollar for a 20 ounce drink when oyu can get a 2 liter for the same price!!!

yeah bu you can' drink the two liter all at once, doesn't fit right in your hand . Have you tried packing it for him? Maybe with a note from you about how sweet he is (so if it comes hom unopened you can be upset that you did all that work and he didn't even peek)

Getting the 20 oz bottles in a 6 pack is much cheaper than buying out of a machine.

LOL! Terry, tell your wife I admire her!!...I would try this approach!...makes it veeeery real!!
Another thing you could do is write a slip for whatever it is that he's spending an put them in a jar, then at the end of the month, you could show him! ($4 for lunch everyday didn't seem like much to me, until I realized it was $80 a month! ...now I have an "allowance" of $4 per week...this allows me my sodas and a *1* full lunch if I forget to pack or something!)

Usually my wife packs me a lunch and when she can't I pack one myself. I like the little notes my wife puts in the brown bag. I also use a thermos to bring coffee. I love not spending money I could be saving for something really important!
