Default substitutions

We have substutions in the food section, so I thought it would be nice here too.

You can use frozen vegetables for an ice pack. You can also make an ice pack by using 2 parts water & 1 part rubbing alochol. Put it into a ziplock bag & store in the freezer.

My daughter bought a bunch of hankies for $0.10 each. She uses these as napkins.

The best pot scrubber I have ever used is an old credit card. It doesn't scratch the service of pots & such.

shredded paper can be used as kitty litter. Paper shredders can be purchased cheaply, and you can protect credit card numbers & personal information by shredding them. Not even the best of thieves are going to go through the cat box to obtain your info.

I'm going to start using amonia too for cleaning the floors because I have been going through so many mops by using bleach as it eats it away. It's funny that you mentioned this because I just read it in a magazine.

I use vingar instead of amonia to mop my floors. My Aunt who I do housekeeping for uses amonia and water and the smell almost kills me.
