If you sew....
My Walmart store still has fleece at $7.99 a yard in the fabric department BUT, in the sporting goods dept and the linens area, fleece blankets are on clearnce--for the nice really soft ones. I just bought 2, for $5 a peice. It will be enough to make all my daughters pants and vests for next Christmas, and probably a few sofa pillows as well.

Joann Fabrics has fleece on sale at different times through the year and you can get great deals on it that way as well. I never pay full price at Joann's if I can help it.

Fleece is SO $$$$
My mom made me a fleece night set (pants and shirt) for x-mas a few years ago out of my favorite Raggidy Ann and Andy, the material cost her 7.99 a yard or something like that..
