I looked at my cell usage and I make a lot of calls from my cell during lunch time or breaks because I want the privacy:
I've been talking to free financial and budgeting advisors, calling different resources. But mainly I call members of my support group or friends. They are my life line. I receive calls from my dad to update me on mom's condition. I really don't want to make any of those calls from my cubicle... I have been using 1200+ minutes a month...that is about 40 minutes a day... I currently have unlimited calls for $49.99+fees+taxes = $60/month If it sounds excessive to you, please consider it is still quite cheaper than therapy. (Around 300/month if I only go twice a month) If I can get a good plan with unlimited 7pm weeknights and weekends, that would be great as I can try to limit some of the calls during the day. This is an interesting site Unlimitedcellcalls.com Will look it up and let you guys know |

Well, we have a local provider here called Cricket that provides unlimited calling and texting for $40 a month. I don't know if you have something similar like that, but if I started using a lot of minutes, that's probably where I would try next anyway.

No criket here, Metro PCS offers that but the reception is more than horrible on my area.
My provider, T-mobile has a $35 plan with 300 minutes 400 text message and unlimited weekends. I would need to reduce my day time talking to 12 minutes a weekday. That will not work with my mom being sick... Next they have a $45 plan with 300 minutes, 400 text but unlimited calls to 5 numbers. One can be Mom calls, which I do to a local number and pay 3c a min The other 4 can be distributed among my closest friends. This is 'only' a savings of $15 a month and letting go of unlimited everything. I guess $15 are $15 dollars? It seems there is a way to get unlimited incoming calls from anywhere via voip networks, I am navigating the technical issues, kinda complex for me. IT seems I should be able to get a cheapy phone/plan and use an VoIP provider to get and make cheap calls anywhere in the globe. Something like that. What I know for sure is that I am cancelling my phone internet which is $20. |
