Default Have you ever heard of this? Backward pants for pregnancy

I had not seen my friend for months. She stopped by yesterday briefly. She's five months pregnant and showing. While she was using my phone, I noticed she was wearing a nice pair of slacks turned backwards! They were a little long, too, so they may even have been her husband's slacks. I wondered if this was something she did for frugality. The seat of the pants was facing front, where she needs the extra space. She is quite small, so the front of the pants fit her behind just fine.

We were both in a hurry to get places, so I quickly forgot to ask about her backward pants. Is this something you have heard of pregnant women doing as a frugal move? She stopped here on her way between work and picking up her child at daycare. So she would have worn these pants to work like that. At work she wears a lab coat so it would have hidden the clue --front pockets in the back-- that tipped me off to the backward pants.

Don't laugh, but I would have considered doing that myself years ago, had I thought of it. I mean, really, except for the length, the fit looked good.

My sister who just had a baby and was extremely tiny maternity pants were not not really fitting her so someone at the baby store told her that they make this extender that you attached to your front of your pants and if you wear a long short no one knows.

I just didn't button up and wear long shirts on the outside...no, my pants didn't fall off.
I never thought or wearing them backwards...
At the end I wear some of my loose dresses I had.
I have to admit it was easy for me since I didn't grow much and I am very petite.
I did have to spend money on different size brassiers though....
