birdseed

I spread out birdseed during the winter for the birds near my house. I've been buying generic brand at a discount store. This seems to be less expensive than buying it at a pet store. Is there any other place I should look to find it at a cheaper price? I usually buy 5 lb bags.

GO TO A GRAIN STORE... like for horses and what-not.... they will have the bird seed real cheap and in bulk.. and it's usually a good quality. the one here where I live is called OLSENS GRAIN. I would just look in the phone book for a store that deals with cattle and horse food... they will have it!!

Good idea, MC!! I thought about gathering seed heads of some weeds this fall, but never did it. Oh, well.
