I bet I'm not the only one who laughed several times through that.

I remember reading when I was 11 years old in 1970 how someday we would probably read the days' news on something like television. I remember thinking that if we could do that, we could surely televise the workings of Congress. Then supplementing with all the news, we could also use that system for more direct democracy, with the individual citizens, not just Congress voting on issues and taking part in debates. Ah, the optimism of a child!... Oh, I also "invented" that year, chewing gum with a fine abrasive in it to clean your teeth as you chew, and thought flying cars were a fine idea.
