I would like to know how a gas dryer uses watts of electricity? We are on a time of use program with our electric company and I just assumed it was ok to use the dryer during the restricted time.
Thanks |

Even though the dryer heats up using gas, it still needs to use electricity to run and why you must plug it into an outlet in the wall for it to work. A gas dryer uses much less electricity than an electric dryer:
Electric Clothes Dryer: 6000 watts Gas Clothes Dryer: 720 watts While much less electricity is used, the gas dryer still uses electricity to run. |
