Default Things I hate

Do any of you find yourselves doing things you hate just to get in under budget? Like using grocery bags for trash, I hate needing half a dozen seperate bags instead of one big one. But I do it cause I would rather buy milk ( and internet . though it is a contract, and I can't get out of it.)

Just wondered if you were the naturally frugal type or if anyone hated it as much as I do.

I pretty much had to buy tall kitchen trash bags to go with the tall kitchen trash can. Otherwise, my dogs would get into it.

However, recently we ran out of tall kitchen trash bags, so we had to use the big black trash bag. This worked wonderfully, and saved us money. When the trash can is full, we take it out & empty all the other trash from the bathrooms and bedrooms, thereby filling up the big black trash bag. Now I don't buy the tall kitchen trash bags.

We have to buy the big black trash bags because we take our own trash to the dump & need something to carry it in. We can't use trash cans because they ar too heavy for me & the girls. And, they could possibly blow out of the back of the truck when they are empty. We also go to the all night dump on the way to church, and we really don't want a huge trash can in the back of the truck at church.

Things I hate & Don't Buy:

Paper plates, cups, napkins.

One time I bought a gazzilion plates & flatware when I hosted a dinner for our church. I bought enough for about 60 place settings. I figured the adults could use the large flatware & plates and the children could use the small plates (salad plates) & small flatware.

I know this wasn't very frugal! But now I have enough for a large gathering, and when my girls get their own households, they can have them to furnish their own homes.

There is nothing I really hate doing in the way of frugality. I thrive on it.
What I do hate is what the cost would be if I didn't do all these things.

I'm not naturally frugal...it is very hard for me....I guess the thing I hate the most is hearing my 4 year old saying: "We never buy anything fun, Mom!", and knowing it's true...
