Default Sell used textbooks and stuff

In addition to being frugal, I've been trying to sell stuff I don't need. There's an online venue to sell used textbooks if you're in college (or just finished college) and you have a bunch of used textbooks you're done with. I also found a place to sell your used phones (I'll edit this post if I can find the web site).

I've never held a garage sale, though. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but isn't it kinda weird having your neighbors see all of your stuff? (You mean you used THAT ironing board to iron your shirts? ) Actually, the funny thing is, the ironing board that I use.... I originally got it from a garage sale.

Until I'm brave enough, I'm kind of glad there are online places to sell unwanted stuff.

I've used sites online to sell books and my cell phone. They work really well. There are quite a few to pick from, too.

I don't worry about the neighbors and my stuff. I only had one neighbor come by at our last sale and she bought a lamp. I really don't worry what other people think.

Time to be brave and have a sale. I'm sure you'll be glad you did.

College son just had two text books delivered to my house. One cost $83, but lists at $156. The other cost $72, but lists at $189. So $190 is saved. Thank goodness for online sellers. Thank goodness for professors who post their book requirements well before the semester begins, too!

I'll have to take a look at the textbook website. I have a ton of textbooks from last semester I need to sell. I refused to sell them back to the bookstore because they were only giving back a couple dollars for each book that I payed FAR more for.

I have been holding garage sales since I was a little kid. I used to help my grandma with hers and now that I am an adult I hold my own. They are a fantastic way to get some cash for things that you really no longer need. If you advertise enough (free advertisement, of course. Post on garage sale websites, craigslist, etc. And if your neighborhood or city has a garage sale day, wait until then. Scores of people will be out garage sale hunting) you can make quite a bit of money.

I bought a lot of my textbooks online. I also sold a few as well. You almost always get a better deal online than at the bookstores.

I sell my old books online and it's great. I get way more than I would if I sold them back to the school.
