Default 5 Inexpensive Father's Day Gifts - to Dad from the Kids

It's in 10 days, what are you going to do? Now is the time to get your kids thinking and earning.

Even though 'Cathy' (of the comic strip) says, guys just want "Itty bitty electronic gadgets," how about something less expensive but just as cool?

Here is the list of choices I am giving my kids to pick from to give Dad.

1. Gift Certificate to the Ice Cream Store. OK, this one is for the ice cream addicts. Baskin Robbins has a low price Tuesday offer in my area ($1 cones). Handwrite your own 'certificate' ! Or get a gift card in the store. And this is very attractive to the kids as they are hoping to be indulged too!

2. Add a fish to the aquarium/pond. One of our favorite gouramis died of old age! Time for a $5 replacement. Or stock the outdoor pond with a dozen goldfish for $1. No tank? Give him a beta, those little colorful fish that live in a small, unfussy bowl (no filter, no bubble, no heater required). You just need to change the water once a week. Get the bowl from the thrift store.

3. Mow the Grass/Wash the Car. Enough said, right?

4. Home Movie Night. Give him a chioce of a rental movie (or pick one you know he likes), turn off the lights, make the popcorn, and hang out together.

5. Dad and Donuts. Ride your bike to the donut store together.

There are plenty of guy SAers, let's hear it from them.

Nice suggestions. I think just being him and having some quality time is enough for a dad.
