we stick to the dollar menu's usually. One of the local bk franchieses who owns many in the area often has a whopper deal of 2 for $3 all year long. Plus we only go to the restaurants that give you free refills on sodas as well.

I think the big one's BK, McD and Wendy's all give free refills. Doesn't matter to me cause I think soda is bad for you and I drink water.

i eat taco bell often. Free self-refills are nice, me and my wife share one drink...aahhhh the taste of frugality.

we went to Olive Garden yesterday, and i'm telling you, it's gonna be hard not to go back every week!

As everyone else has mentioned, Dollar Menus, Value Menus, Taco Bell, etc. Two items plus a drink from home fills me up for $2 or less.

COUPONS -- Look in the back of your phone book. Register on restaurant websites, and they'll email them to you. Never buy pizza without a coupon. Ask if they'll honor competitor's coupons. Never buy Long John Silver's without a coupon.

Keep your eyes open for specials that may not be advertised, other than with signs at the restaurant. Specials in our area = $4 Mazzio's all you can eat pizza and all you can drink for 15 or more (great for church groups, sports teams, etc. Must call ahead.) // Sunday only = free drinks or 25 cent drinks @ Mazzio's when you dine in // Tuesday only = Domino's two for one pizza // Wed only = $1.99 KFC Chicken Fried Steak dinner with gravy, two sides and a biscuit (trying cooking that at home for less) // McDonald's and Sonic Happy Hour = 1/2 price drinks Mon thru Fri afternoons // Thursday only = $1.49 Hamburger Happy Meal @ McDonald's.

Entree and Salad Bar combo -- make a meal out of the salad bar, and take the entree home for your next meal.

At Long John's and KFC, pay about a dollar to add a piece of fish or chicken to your meal, and then split all of it with your honey-pie-sugar-bugar.

Leave the kids at home, and go by yourself. I can eat a meal for $1 at home or $2 for fast food. One extra dollar isn't that much, but if you spend an extra dollar for four or five more people, then it's too costly.

sometimes I split my cheeseburger value meal w/ my oldest. Since theres plenty of fries & a second burger, no need to buy a happy meal
