I do. I buy high-end clothes and washing wears them out so I take care of them and wash them when they need it.

Except in the summer when damp towels begin to smell sour, I use the same towels coming out of the shower for several weeks. It's not gross at all. Think about it: you're perfectly clean coming out of the shower, so what's the need to wash them frequently?

Which leads to a pet peeve, hotels/motels that consider it necessary to change your bed sheets daily as well as your towels. Most people don't do that at home, so why the need to do it at a hotel you're staying at? Just wastes energy.

I wear jeans / pants at least 2 times before washing too except if I spill food on them or are outside and get them really dirty.

DH works in an office. He always wears his jeans twice. Well, unless he gets something on them.

I wash my work pants approximately once a week, and I work 5 days a week. If don't look dirty or smell bad, I don't need to wash it. I have only 1 pants for work, and one "just in case". If I accidentally spill something on them, I would try to wipe it out with wet towell right there at work. If it doesn't come out, then I would have to use a baby wipe at home, and if that still doesn't work, then I would have to wash it.

My DH doesn't and I forget the reason he said why... he said something about the fit.

For me, I'll rewear them occasionally. Sometimes I can't cause after you wear them for a little while the fit doesn't look right anymore. You start wearing that pair of jeans and everything is tight and where it belongs. Then you wear them too long and I have creases all over and it looks like my pants are too big.

I need to start trying this! It would certainly cut down on the laundry around here, especially now that there are six people in our house!

I wear jeans a few times before washing them. I wear my dress clothes a few times before using the Dryel kit on it. I don't normally wear shirts more than once b/c I have had problems with sweating.

DH wears his dress pants & shirts twice before we take them to the cleaners. We take his stuff every other weekend.

We reuse our towels 2-4 times and then we put them in the laundry.

This is my very first post on this forum!
When I read this post, I thought, "okay, I gotta reply to this one..."

It depends on what mood I'm in. There have been days where I will wear jeans (or any article of clothing for that matter) *only* if they've been freshly washed... But, if I am going to do a less-than-pristinely clean task (e.g. raking leaves, washing car, etc.), I have no problem wearing the same work clothes twice. For me, I can make it a habit either way -- wearing ONLY freshly washed clothes, or, wearing clothes 2 or three times, etc., before washing (of course, if they get visibly/detectibly dirty, then washing would be in order).

I wear jeans and casual pants twice before washing. I have a desk job, so it's not like they're getting dirty.

If worn just for lounging around the house, sweatpants and sweatshirts are also worn twice.

I wear my jeans Mon-Fri. I have a desk job, and don't really have an opportunity to get dirty. Of course, if they do get dirty, I change them. But When I get home I either change into a pair of sweat pants (fall/winter) or shorts (spring/summer). Socks and underwear never more than once. Shirts, generally never more than once, but there are time when I have. Usually never to work though.

Bath towels get used for a week, then changed out. I always shower in the morning, and sometimes right before bed too depending on what I did that day. I workout at night on Monday and Thursday, so definitely a shower before bed on those nights.

I always wear jeans/slacks twice, unless its something unusual like you've been walking around a festival all day long. For normal days, when you're typically in an air conditioned office or home most of the time, there's very little perspiration from your legs. I just leave a comb in the back pocket to remind me I've already worn that pair once.
Similarly, sometimes I'll have been working in the yard all day. Those clothes will go right in the washer, but then we'll want to go to a friend's or whatever for an hour or so before coming back home and changing into PJs. If I've only worn a shirt for a short period I'll rewear it again too before washing.
This saves a lot of ways:
  1. There's less wear and tear on the clothes from frequent washing
  1. You use less laundry detergent
  1. You use less electricity, gas and water since you run the washer and dryer less frequently
  1. And since the washer and dryer are run less frequently they last longer.

One more thing:
Would you believe jeans manufactures recommend a life span of only 50 washers per garment? Basically they're saying if you wear a pair of jeans once a week you should toss them after one years use. That's not gonna happen at my house.

I tend to wear my jeans until they become too "loose" from wearing them, or dirty. I usually change into sweats/pj's when I get home, so they're only worn to class, or out for social reasons, grocery shopping, etc. I have clothes specifically for work. I only own 3-ish pairs of jeans that fit me well, so I get as much wear out of them as I can! Makes my laundry loads much smaller

I usually only wash my pants or jeans after I've worn them several times. I work in a warehouse and I wear the same pants to work all week without washing them unless they begin to smell or get something on them that needs to be washed immediately. At the end of the week I retire them for a new pair. I only wear them at work and take them off as soon as I get home.

My casual pants I will wear multiple times unless they get dirty or smell or if I have worn them more than 3 to 5 times. Again, I take them off at home.

Towels get used until they smell musty or feel funny.

Shirts, socks, and underwear are all changed out after being worn once.

I've done this for years and no one has ever mentioned anything about me doing it, not even girlfriends. The only drawback that I can see is that cheap pants seem to wear out really fast if you do this. More expensive pants with better materials hold up pretty well.
