Default $130 in a week and a half?

So, I stupidly deposited a little over $700 in my ING account the other day thinking I'd be okay because I was about to get paid, which would cover my rent. Well, an unexpected and forgotten expense came up, my car insurance renewal. DH and I split it, but I completely forgot about it after I deposited his check in my account at the beginning of the month. I'm going to be almost $130 short, because the money won't be available to withdraw from ING until 9/27, but the check is due by 10/3. I'm scared that even if I put in for the withdraw on the 27th, it may not be in my bank acct. by 10/3, not to mention if they get the check a day early and try to deposit it then. The 27th is on a Thursday and Oct. 3rd is the following Wednesday. That weekend lapse scares me too. DH doesn't have the money to give me, and I don't know how I can come up with it in time. The crazy thing is, I get paid again on Thursday 10/4. This was a really stupid mistake I know, but I would appreciate any suggestions.

Actually, I just checked my half.com account and it says they deposited almost $290 in my bank account today. I wonder how long that will take to post?

I'd hope for the $290 to post in time.

But, you could always contact your insurance agency and tell them you can pay them all but $130 and then give them the $130 a few days late. My auto insurance was my first bill. I was on a monthly plan, but I know I paid it late a few times and they were forgiving.

Just a thought.

I agree, contact the insurance company, pay all you can and let them know you'll be a few days late with the rest.
