Default Aftershave recipe

Does anyone have an aftershave recipe? Dh is running low, but I haven't seen any free after rebate forever. I heard, you can mix alcohol with cologne and something else. Have anyone ever tried?

I spend a few bucks on a tube of aftershave lotion that lasts me for 3-4 months or so. Homemade aftershave would have some cost associated with it and would be of questionable value IMO.

Google "free sample shave" and you may find a few offers for free product. I am currently using some shaving oil from King of Shaves and have some after shave lotion from Nivea, both of which I obtained free.

I've found that the lotions don't work as well. The aftershave liquids do a better job of stopping the burn quicker.

I'd love to save some money on aftershave -- it's ridiculously expensive. But I'm also kinda leery of just using rubbing alcohol and cologne as a substitute.

have him grow a beard till you get some

(my husband is a very lazy shaver, he grows a beard about once a month..then shaves for special occasions, and it might last a day or two of upkeep...which is a good thing cause he uses an expensive razor with 'gel' stuff cartridges..course I have no idea what they cost, the razor was a gift and he uses it so rarely he hasn't needed a refill!)

My DH doesn't use it. He uses an electric razor and never has used aftershave. Maybe it isn't necessary?
