Default The most outgragious frugal thing you've done

I'm wondering what are people's most bizzare/outrageous acts of frugality?

I'm a born frugal person, and mine would have to be having a dedicated 'driving shoe', that I would keep in the car, and put on when driving. The reason is so I don't wear out the heal of my 'good' shoe.

To my suprise I met a lady who does the same thing???

Anyone else do this?

I worked a long time ago, at a newspaper office. The owner complained that we ladies used too many paper towels in the rest room. so we all started hanging our paper towels in the office to dry, and re use them. It was pretty funny!!

When i used to have to dress up for my job, i ended up with scuffed heels on all my good shoes, so i started driving barefoot.

I sometimes let paper towels dry, then use them again.

Something i was wondering recently....does everyone wear an article of clothing, say either pants or a shirt, then launder it? I have never done that, if it seems clean, i fold them up, put them away and wear them again multiple times. Cus i was talking to a friend and i mentioned i had not used my clothes dryer all summer and instead hang-dried my clothes. She said oh, if she did that,t hen she'd have to iron. I admit, i iron my clothes just about every day.

What do you do?
