Ladies, how many times do you use a razor?
I'm just wondering how long others reuse their razors.
I found that I can go about six weeks at once or twice a week with one 3-blade razor.

I don't shave often, since I don't have a lot of hair, not dating, and I tend to wear long pants most of the time. This will probably change in summer, so I'm sure I could give you a better answer then.
So right now I'm using the same blade for about a year or so, but since I use it so infrequently maybe it has a month of wear on it. The mineral oil trick really does help.

I love really smooth legs so I shave every other day. So my razor blades don't last long. About a week. Those and perfume/lotion are my toiletry luxuries. The perfumes/lotions last forever because I don't use much, but the razors get used up!

If you go to the home page, you will see an area that says RECENT BUDGET ARTICLES. Go down to where it says more budget articles and click it. It will take you to an area and then you look for January 4, 2007. Jeffrey wrote an article called Razor Saver - Extend your razor's life. It looks pretty neat and I have wanted to buy it and forget. Looks like it would be worth the money.

I have never used a razor in my life, I am far too clumsy. I use an electric razor and have all my life.

I have no idea. But I'm thinking I stretch it out a lot longer than the manufacturers want me to. Take your time and it will work fine for a while.

I shave every day because that way I never have to do it particularly well I'd say a razor usually lasts me about 6 months, but my hair is pretty fine.

Honestly, I have no clue. I can't even remember the last time I bought razors. My last purchase was a 10-pack that I have about 4 or 5 left on - so I probably get anywhere from 3-6 months from a razor, depending on the season (that's legs every 2-3 days in summer, about once a week in the winter, armpits every other day). I keep mine right in a basket on the shower wall, which you might think would lessen the life (dampness), but it doesn't seem to hurt it any.
Meanwhile, I've got a non-expiring coupon for a new pack of razors that I have literally been holding onto for years because I haven't needed to buy new ones yet!

Wow! Interesting responses. One week at the minimum to 3-6 months.
I had no idea how long I was using my razors until I noted when I started a new one on the calendar. I started that in January and found that after six weeks it was time for a new one.

I never paid any attention to be honest. I think I shave maybe every 2 weeks or as needed depending on what I'm wearing.

A long time! I use the single razor bic and they last months. I have arm pits every day or every other day, and legs at least once a week, twice or more in summer. The razor stays in the shower. I have noticed that if I ty 'fancy' razors I cut myself......I guess I'm accustomed to dull razors. Oh well.

I shave at least 2 times a week. That is good enough for me so far. My razor last for like 2 months. Then I have to go and get a new one.

Hmmm. with the price of blades reach ghastly prices, I switched to disposables about a year ago. I shave my armpits pretty much every day, and my legs... when I'm going to a dog show and actually have to wear a skirt. LOL! My husband hates that I hate to shave, but hey... he's not having to shave HALF HIS BODY (I'm 5'10", and that's a lotta leg to shave!)... so I've found that the disposables last me a lot longer than buying replacement blades for the "fancy ones". Probably 3-4 months.
I also learned a trick from a friend of mine years ago... I actually tweeze my legs during the winter months. It's not terribly painful, but it is time consuming. But at this point, after doing it for the past couple of years, very little hair grows around my ankles, so even if I wear pants that show my ankles, no shaving necessary most of the time!
