Tried Any No Fee Auction Sites ?

There are a number of no fee auction sites (Wow, I didn't know so many).

Any experience with these? Some time investment is okay, but I don't want to drain my time...

With the resounding response to this, I'd guess the answer would be "no" (including myself). I have never heard of any of those auction sites. While I hate that the fees for Ebay are getting more expensive (I recently sold some $8 Enfamil coupons on Ebay. Only sold for $0.60 including s/h. Paypal took half of it ), I'd be reticent to leave Ebay because of their expansive reach. On the other hand, if those sites are free then why not try it and see what comes of it?

I recently registered on eBid.. eBid Online Auctions for United States : Auction House - Zero Fee Online Auctions for United States
they are running a Platinum membership offer which is Lifetime free for U.S. and Cananda.. they are much bigger in the UK currently but are starting to get noticed..... worth a look

You'll ultimately get less for your item or it won't sell. Those sites don't have the traffic (potential bidders) that eBay has.

If you don't like paying eBay's fees they occasionally have specials (10 cent listing days, etc). Just keep an eye out for those.

I'm using no fee auction sites to get backlinks (and traffic) for my DigitalProductsCenter.com by selling lower priced ebooks and software. All of them, as far as I know, do not allow links but there is nothing to say that I should not write "DigitalProductsCenter.com is a Master Reseller of this product". Despite having no full URL, the SEs crawl my site.

That's my take on it too. Years ago, before eBay was quite the household name it is now, I also sold on Yahoo auctions. Back then it had a bit of traffic, but not enough to get competition going for most items. Items would generally sell for the opening bid, but the lack of fees made for a cheap way to get rid of stuff you just wanted to get out of your house and get a little money for. It dropped off significantly from there as more and more people moved to eBay, and as I recall they started charging a commission on sale price, which drove pretty much everyone else off to eBay.

EBay has the exposure and that's all there is to it. If you are happy with getting the price you set for an item, why not try a free site and see if anything comes of it?
