Question We are getting a Tuesday Morning

Our town is getting a Tuesday Morning store. I'm glad because it fills up a big spot in a strip mall that has many empty stores and hopefully it means our economy is improving. But, I've never been to one. Do they have good deals?

I have only walked in a Tuesday morning once and didn't buy anything.
I never went went back.
I was not impressed with anything there.

Yes if you are in to buying high end designer stuff and want a bargain and yes if you like to gift those types of items. It can be a money trap if you go in mindlessly and begin putting cute baubles into your cart.

Take a small amount of BUDGETED cash and most definitely leave the CC at home!!

Glad your town is getting new business - we have some of those strip malls here that have some big stores sitting empty for a good extended period of time, it would be nice to see them fill up again.

We've got one but we've never gone in. Didn't know what type of stuff they sold. From what Tina said, doesn't sound like we'll ever be going in.

My sister in laws MIL shops there all the time. She usually brings my SIL boxes of chocolate! That is the last thing I need.

I thought the prices were too high and there was nothing I wanted or needed in the store. It would be good for wedding gifts and such though.

I only go in because sometimes they have good items for scrapbooking. Nothing too special, though.

We have one locally. I run through occasionally. This year I got an email after Christmas for 50% off clearance merchandise. I spent probably 2 hours looking through everything. I ended up with some really good deals including stuffed animals for next year's Christmas kid, a set of stainless tableware for 12 with serving pieces for $17- that will be a wedding gift for someone, good hand held can opener for $2- all stuff I could have lived without but they helped stock my gift shelf. When I used to live in Carlinville, (small town of 5000) I was just thrilled if any store came to town and even more thrilled if they "made" it. It was devastaing when Rural King and Aldi's left.

I have gotten good high end cookware on clearance, they also frequently have good clearance on pet items (beds, grooming items, dishes, etc...) and they have outstanding prices on cards/stationary. However, I agree the rest of their items tend to be overpriced, but if you shop carefully you can find good deals.

I noticed you mentioned Rural King. We are getting one of those on the other side of town. Maybe things are looking up for our city!

It must vary by location. Our Tuesday Morning just has a bunch of miss match broken junk. I have better things to do with my money.

In my twon, Tuesday Morning is similar to the household section of TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Ross, but with a limited selection of toys.

I agree it's got mostly household decor & the prices are a lil much for me as well. Only went one & that was enough of that. The one here was set up like the thrift stores used to be... next to no light, minimal walking space & alot of highend stuff that was more than I was willing to spend.

It's a higher end version of Marshalls. If you hit it on a good day you can get some lovely household items.
