Yes, i successfully got credit once in a similar situation. Just take out your last 6 months worth of bills, determine what your average monthly bill is, then divide that by the number of days in a month to figure out what dollar amount the 5 days of no power represent.

That works for cable, dish, phone, but should not work for electric. On electric you only pay for what you use.
