I love my relatives, but *sigh* just am sort of anti-stuff. Thank you, but going to the re-gift pile are:
* the set of 8 ivy printed placemats (that match my wall paper, but, ugh, I don't even use placemats. Just another thing to wash) * the one stocking holder (which goes on a mantel we don't have, and nevermind there are four of us in the family) * the bubble bath (from an expensive store! But the bathtub is too small to lay down in...on second thought, should I let my 6 year old use this stuff which probably cost 2 or 3 times her age?) * the kids story book of Spanish folk legends (in English and Spanish??) *the single christmas pattern plate which held a pile of tangerines (the tangerines are gone, yum and all for healthy snacks, but one lone plate will have to hold some treats for someone else next year) ![]() |

We celebrate Chanukah, so we're already done with our gifts... and our regifting. I got a Yankee Candle that went to one of my wife's co-workers. She loves candles. We don't. Perfect fit. That was it for this year.
ETA: I forgot. We also gave her one of those candle plates and toppers that Yankee sells. We got that a couple of years ago when someone else gave us a candle.

slim year here as well... only one that we will either regift or most likely sell at the flea market...disney kitchen stuff... 2 hand towels and 2 oven mitts...

The only thing I got was a can of tea, I can only drink the decaf variety. Small list but that might be because we don't exchange with many people.

Well, there is nothing I got that is going to regift. I got what I asked for and that was not a lot. It worked out well this year!

I got one of those packages of fragrant lotions, soaps, and bath salts. I already have enough of that kind of thing, so I'll pass this on.
pretty cheap jewelry, what is the title of the bilingual book? Two evenings ago, I was wishing I had more such books. I might like to buy yours if it is one with lots of language! |

NOTHING which is a small miracle - I got a lot of nice stuff this year. I usually throw most of it to the regift pile, so I have no idea what happened.
Nice gifts all around this year! |

My mom gave me tons of candy! she gave me a very cute stocking a friend came over with her child so I gave it to him
DH mom gave me a big can of almond rocha candy,I love it but but my teeth are not strong enough for that sort of thing so I gave it to a friend gave my daughter in law a perfume that came in a nice gift box,I do not do perfume, so I think i got all my re-gifting done for the year ;-) I bought my bIL a huge hickory farm sausage and learned he was on a diet I told him if he did not want it to regift it to someone else ;-) |

oh you all are soooo lucky!
My husband is keeping a 5-lb tin of chocolate cookies from our crazy Irish friends (I am going to throw up if I see another cookie *insert smiley with gross face here*) DH is also keeping the egregious jeans overalls his mother gave him! It looks absolutely ridiculous to see a 40-year old man in these overalls! If I had suggested he get some he would have given me a look to kill!!! *Insert devil smiley here* However, it was his mother... Joan, I will send you a private message, you can have it but there is not a huge amount of Spanish. |

We only give presents for the children in the family.
I don't understant what is all the big deal with giving gifts to adults. Why go through all that stress of hoping to find the right gift for that someone, ( right one, big enough, expensive enough, etc. ) and mostly at the end it turns out it's something the recipient doesn't need or want. What's wrong with simply meeting for a festive dinner and trying to have a good time. |

At least half of our immediate family (both sides) are adult now, so I make a lot of stuff. This year it was (reused, decorated) coffee cans filled with (luxurious) handmade soaps and washcloths. I made 11 of them.
Check my blog for a great tip on these decorated tins. IMO dinners are not memorable (unless they are in Paris - that night), but then however, neither are gifts generally. Our best gift was from the neighbors who gave us a night of free babysitting. We wanted to use it that day! |

I also give gifts to my office staff (but they get cash - always appreciated).

I have a couple of things to regift. I received some fragrant candles which due to my allergies and asthma, cannot use. Plus, someone gave me a covered candy ceramic candy box and the last thing I need is yet another thing sitting out. She went on and on about how fancy the company was that makes this thing. If she likes it so well, she should have kept it.

Nothing this year, the gift gods smiled on me and I got good stuff!! Yahoo! But I had a lot to regift from last year, so it all evens out.

Fairly perfect year. generally we all let each other know what we want and everyone is pretty good at getting nice things not nic nacs.
Side note to the bubble bath, many children have allergic reactions to bubble bath. my daughter constantly got infections so once figured it out we threw it away! Her doctor said that is really common in small children. |

Thanks cicy. I let her use it once no problem. It is really good stuff, not too perfumy, just the right amount of oils to be good to the skin, even a 6 year old. My son took one too! (8 yo).
