Where Do YOU Keep Your $20 Challenge Money?

I keep mine in an envelope as of right now, and a piggy for the change. I'm going to deposit it into my emigrant account at the end of the month to earn interest. Then this summer I'm taking a roadtrip across the country. My challenge money is going to be used for my vacation. Any money left over will probably be put toward student loans. Or next semester's tuition.

I keep mine in my savings account so I can keep track of it online.

Last year I put it all towards debt....since I want to do it through growing my translation business this year, I'm using part to pay debts, part to reinvest in the business, part into the foundation of an emergency fund and give part to charity....

I put my $$ in the bank. It's in the Emergency Savings Fund we've designated for a rental property we own.

Part of mine is in paypal (from my ebay sales). My sub teaching money goes to a MM account.

I took the money that I saved for the challenge last year and paid off a piece of property that we bought. Now I am saving the money in my car fund!

Savings. I actually don't add money to my challenge overall unless I save it - for me that is the challenge - hehe. E-fund.

I don't really keep it all in one place per se, just look at it as more a way to think about different ways of increasing my income. But not doubt most of it goes to savings.

For sure it should have it's own account. I know that everyone has a different use for the money. For some it might be to build up an Emergency Fund, Fund your retirement, pay off debt, or a dream that you have that is attainable.

I think that it would be great to see what everyone is going to do with their $20 challenge. I find it so easy to attain and then to add to it even if its just pennies, or even found money out in the street. I think that it would be great just to keep a journal to see where it came from. What do you think?

This actually sounds like it would be fun, I have so much change lying around the house, under cushions, under my desktop, and on counters. I bet almost half of my deposits would be from those alone.

i keep mine in a plastic zip lock bag that my curtains came in... i am gonna use if for a surprise purchase...i just counted it today i have $800. i am not sure what i want to buy yet... i have a successful budget, retirement funds, emergency funds going.... my new years resolution written down goal was to save and pay down $20,000 this year... i have succeeded in doing that the past two years... we should be debt free in a couple more years...
at my granddaughters suggestion:
we did not buy presents for 2 of our friends, whom we always buy for at every holiday.. they didn't even email or snail mail or call us during the xmas holidays... they are both widows and when we do take them flowers, leather purses, etc. remembering their birthdays, they brag on some one else and what they have bought them... so, no more.. they don't buy us a thing, not even a thank you card... i have already saved $200 from cutting this out... we also stopped buying for my nephew and his wife and daughter.. that has saved us another $200... we gave them thru my sis picking them up, 26 dress shirts, almost new, my son never wears them, he has 10 new ones in the bags yet. etc.... they thanked my son profusely.... cannot figure that one out... i mean i used to buy his wife floor length dress gowns and etc.... lol....
