Default Who woke up feeling good this morning

Who woke up this morning feeling good because they have started controlling there money instead of there money controlling them? I no longer have the knot in my stomach that I used to have. Im still not where I want to be, but feeling better everyday.I look forward to reading everyone's personal feelings.

I feel okay!

But have been for a long while now as we turned the corner about 2 1/2 to 3 years back. Had you asked me four years ago, there was a giant knot in my stomach.

Why not great? Because we clearly are not as prepared for retirement as we should be. Working on it, but there is no clear way that we'll be able to make up for the years when The Hubster refused to save. He had lived a very tight childhood, 7 person family on one low-to-middle class income and his parents saved on top of supporting the kids, so he'd done without for a number of years and wanted to 'live for today'. Well, we did, but it means BAD MOCHA for our upcoming retirement prospects.

So, just okay. Could be better!

Soappro, sounds like you are having a good day. I'm very happy for you. I was amazed at how much joy and peace of mind I got when I reigned in my spending, it more than made up for the things I was doing without. I have noticed myself slipping these past couple months, so I have gone back to cash-only spending for the month of September, and I am doing much better. It feels so good that I might keep it up for the rest of the year!

I usually wake up pretty happy. I am a little worried because we have a lot of money tied up in a house we are building, to sell. We have about $250,000 in it so far, with about $100,000 more to go. We do have someone who wants it, but they have to sell their place first and things are slow.
However, we will still have some money in our emergency fund and my husband has steady work for the next year, so if we have to sit on it, we will.
At least i won't have to pay interest on a loan every month.

I woke up very happy this morning; I was in a five star hotel doing a job and had four emails for new jobs. It was nice.

I am trying to put all my freelance income towards my charge cards, and every time I see a statement with a big payment on it, it makes me smile.
