Default Contests are a Fun, Frugal & (Possibly) Fruitful Hobby!

Hey all,

Years ago I entered contests as a fun hobby, that reaped some pretty decent rewards: I won movie tickets, a jacket, a pricey jersey for my husband, etc.

I generally now only enter online one-time entry contests. That cuts down on the amount of time that I'm entering. I thought: this is a fun, frugal hobby that can have amazing rewards! I know people who have won vehicles, amazing vacations, cash, etc.

Who else enters contests? What amazing things have you won?

Hugs,
Christina

DH seems to have the touch when it comes to contests. He keeps a stash of business cards for those "fishbowl" type. In recent memory he's won at least 2 pizzas and lunch for his office.

He also enters a lot at conventions and trade meetings. He's constantly coming home with polo shirts and gadgets.

That's awesome, pearlieq!

One thing I wanted to mention too - make sure you know the source of the contest. Some online 'contests' seem to just be a way for marketers to get your email address.

I enter a lot of online contests and I win a lot of little things here and there. My biggest win so far was a $100 gift card from Best Buy.

I like to play the instant win games online. I hate waiting to see if I've won. I have won a lot of small prizes like T-shirts, hats, a cooler, Coupons for free products, $25 visa card, $25 circuit city card, some toys. I even won a car unfortunatly it was a matchbox. lol
I have all girls so If I win toys for boys I donate them to Toys for Tots at Christmas time because there are no boys in the family to give them to as gifts.
