Default Microwave Question

If the clock on the microwave uses more energy that the microwave itself, should I unplug the microwave oven when I'm not using it to save energy?

Default Re: Microwave Question

Believe it or not, you will notice it on your electric bill. One easy way to save the unplugging is to use one of those outlet strips with a switch on it. When you want to use the microwave, just flip the switch. If there is a Rite-Aid store in your area, I noticed in the insert in my local Sunday paper that they had one for $4.00 with a $4.00 rebate!

PS: Also did the same thing with the vcr.
