I tend to follow this schedule:

bed sheets: every Saturday
bath towels: after every use
comforters: every 3 months when seasons change, same for curtains
kitchen towels & dishcloths: every day the one used goes in the wash
Clothing is washed after being worn once usually, unless it was only worn for a short time.
