Default How Many Gallons Of Oil Do You Use A Year?

Just curious if you use oil to heat your house how many gallons do you consume a year?

We live in PA in a 1300 sq ft ranch with a basement that is half finished and heated as well. We also heat our water with oil. Last year we used 537 gallons. I think the mild weather we had in January helped keep my consumption down.

How many gallons do you use a year for heat and/or hot water? What state do you live in? How big is your house?

I also live in PA and thanks to the mild winter, I used around 500. Normally 600-650. Mynext move is to install a coal/wood burning stove in the basement to cut that number down. The stove was $100, /I coldn't pass it up.

Last year it was less than 50 gallons of propane. As of last heating season I now heat my house with a EPA certified Jotul wood stove with wood obtained at the right price FREE. I only will use propane on those days where it will be difficult to get a good draft going in my stove.
