Wink Re: Maximum savings on a trip to the store

Hotshotscheerleader,
So you are embarrassed.. you get 30 items for $75..
Its not bad. My DH's average bill from Walmart = $140.00

60% un-necessary impulse buys.
He is the GOD of logic some times. He spends money on frozen items as if i were a bad cook. I make flatbread and biscuits so well that people beg me to cook. You are only a bit ashamed.. I am mortified. Had Dr.F started this three years ago, i would have Saved $15000.. on everything.

Our shame is the first step in improving our "findADeal" skills.
As for the one who go 4 tubes of toothpaste for free, besides the deoderant with out trying: next time you surpass me and talk about it, :
[b]THOU SHALT BE ENVIED :-D.
good for you, I will look for more deals. For those of you going through feelings of regret and shame: make that money back.
Apply for Citi rewards cards, Amazon G/C $25 (2 per household) and get Bank of America choice hotel cards.
You can get upto $600 in GCs alone.
Dr.F. thank you so much fro some meat coupons.
Hope I dont dissappoint you when you get the train back.
your most enthusiastic savings disciple.

Majority of the time I don't use that product. I do get a newspaper, but never clip coupons. My hubby won't let me print coupons because the ink costs more than the coupon is worth. How do you get such amazing savings?
Our stores do not take any printable coupons. But if you have the right deal and the right coupon, then stock up, it get easier to only buy when the price is RIGHT.

Today, Garnier 100%, regular $7.99, sale was $4.99, coupon was $4, (NOT a printable, I found it at a different store), total was $.0.99.

If I try the color and it works, I'll go stock up.

NEVER be embarrassed here. This site is for learning, sharing, and helping each other.

Walmart seems to get more of my money than I'd like also. Everytime I go there it's the same thing. "How did I spend $50 I only got five things?" But I still go back for more sooner or later.

Exactly my point: they seem reasonable. the freezer sections are chockfull of goodies. Before you know, your bill shows that you have bought 43 items and your bill is $56.00
We should form a WalmartAddicts Support group"!
I see the things for babies (used to) and I lose control.
Buts its great that you have made this observation about your spending habits. It took me a year to realize the same.
Tip: Go ALONE!!!
REWARD YOURSELF for sticking to a goal.
Good for you for battling bills.

IIRC I did a Kroger trip for $11 when the total as $60+. That was a few years ago though...

Yesterday, my total at Giant Eagle was almost $50 but after super double coupons and sales, I paid $20.12.
