Who Out There Gets Free Money?

Where I Work They Throw Pop Cans Away All The Time. In Michigan We Get .10 Per Can So I Decided To Check All The Trash Cans, And Everyone Gives Me There Cans Because They Dont Want To Mess With Them Taking Them Back To The Store.

Also We Take Cars In On Trade And It Is Amazing The People Who Need The Money The Most, After They Turn In There Cars I Will Ask Them Is They Have Everything Out Of There Car Or Truck, They Will Tell Me Yes I Will Check Out The Vehicle And Inform Them That There Is Change Still In The Vehicle And I Am Told They Dont Want To Mess With It. So Some Times I Have To Put On Plastic Gloves And Take The Change Home Soak It In Bleach But It Is Still Spendable.

Last Week I Decided To Make A Free Money Jar And My Wife And I Will Use The Money This Coming December To Take A Free Weekend.

If Anyone Else Has A Free Money Story I Would Like To Read About It.

This Week I Have 16.50 In My Free Money Jar. I Will Keep You Updated On My Free Money.

I LOVE the idea of a free weekend from your free money! I am going to have to think about what I would do for free to celebrate free money!!!

Umm...now, in answer to your question - I too turn in cans, although ours are 5 cents each. My parents don't like to mess with them, so they give me theirs.
I can't think of anything else just yet...but I will!

I am going to actively think about this...and Ill post again...
again...I LOVE YOUR IDEA!

The only free money I ever find is change on the ground...it amazes me that I see people walk right past it. I always stop to pick it up, even if it's just a penny.
The last two times I parked downtown I got a meter with time still left - almost like free money!
I look forward to hearing other ideas.

I collect recycling at work-people find it handy to stick it in the box I provide. They know it's for "me" but it's easy for them to do. It's weird how often I find cans and bottles worth money in garbage cans. After big trainings I make a collection. people think I'm very environmentally correct, they don't see the monet part.

Whenever we go out to eat with friends and family, if nobody objects, I collect the cash from everyone and then charge the bill on my rewards card. That way I get a lot more reward points than my own meal was actually worth. I also charge my professional association dues and then get reimbursed by my boss, so more free reward points. When we travel with family, I'll charge both our rooms and they'll reimburse me.

Anytime I can charge something and get reward points that don't cost me anything, I go for it.

We don't have a place to turn in cans around here. I look for change, but never find any. I do use a credit card that gives cash back, I got $515 from them yesterday. I am trying a new card that will either give back 1% cash in increments of $100 or you accumulate it towards a new car. I got over $1700 toward my last car, off.

I am finding change. When I see a coin copy-machine or vending machine, I look for change there, the most I found at one time, was 40c.

I recucle my bottles and cans.

I use rewards cards.

I got more than $45 total from my and my Dh's credit cards ro just 3 phone calls. They sent $15 check each time, and if you cash it they sing you up for some kind of protection plan which is free for the first month and you can cansel any time, so I call and cances it a few days after I cashed the checks. Works every time, I just wish they would send it more often.

Got some formula checks and sold them on ebay, since I never needed it, because I brestfed both of my kids untill they were 1. The free samples formula I used later so I would buy less milk. (maybe I should have sold them too)

Sell all un needed stuff on ebay instead of donating it.

Got some giftcards for buying over certan amount in some dept stores, then returned the bought stuff and kept the giftcards. ( was over $200) total.

If you add the coupons I use when I buy something and extra things I do to save money, it will add up to twice more than I make.

They give us .18 per pound for cans. Takes a LOT of work! Wish we could get paid by can instead!
I think getting gift cards for the internet stuff is good. I just got $30 for taking a survey and am waiting for another $10! Rebates are a nice payoff. So is catching a ride with a friend! No gas used! Costs nothing but a thank you!

Well, to me, free money if extremely difficult to get. I got a $30 giftcard for my b'day...that was free money.

I'm also earning a little bit of money with AdSense and even though I don't spend anything for it, it's certainly not free when I have to work a few hours a day to get it.

I have done a few surveys and been paid a few dollars. I still look for change everywhere I go. I think I have found 1 penny in the past 6 months.

Here's what I'm doing - not exactly free money in my hand, but almost free just the same:

1. Sell unwanted items on ebay.
2. Use that money to buy gift cards from ebay at a discount (at least 20%) to stores you know you will shop at.
3. Find coupons for that store to make your gift card "money" go further.

I ebayed off stuff over the past 6-8 months, bought gift cards to Linens-N-Things and Bed Bath & Beyond. My college bound daughter and I went and bought her dorm room items (comforter, bed sheets, towels, dishes, decorations, etc) using the 20% coupons (I could use 3 coupons per transaction on 3 items) or the $5 off $15 (at BBB) and came out paying $5.26 for over $250 (after coupons) total! Not too bad, huh?

How did you find "real" paying surveys? I can not find any that are legit. All the surveys I've found want you to sign up for a certain number of things. If you could please help me that would be great. Thanks

For me, free money consists of anything I manage to save by economy, substitution or discount purchasing. I pull it out of my income stream and transfer it to savings.

Otherwise, I pick up the odd sum with things like computer repairing, tax preparation or research. Obviously, I'm working for these dollars, but they are "free" in that they aren't factored into my budget.

in michigan, there are places that let you help clean up after large events. my nephew used to go to the racetrack and collect the popcans. he had enough to fill the back of our pickup truck.

If any of you are physicians or are married to physicians, there are numerous sites for doctors to do surveys that pay quite well, usually at the rate of $100/hour, to take surveys online. Most aren't that long, so may pay $35 or $50 depending on the length of the survey, but I can usually zip through them in half the time they estimate it will take.

Well to be trueful, I have only collected $3 for 2 surveys, the place was called surveysavy. Most the time, I take the survey but don't qualify. There is another one that sends me one a day, but only pays 3 cents per survey. You have to earn $30 before you can collect, so that is going to take a while.

You are right, I spelled it wrong. I request a check every time I do a survey and have no problem getting it within the week. My name is julie denski, if anyone else wants to use my name.

No I did not want to correct you. I only wrote that for people who were interested. I can't spell well. Everyone that uses your name where it says Who refered you, you get some extra money or something.
