Question coupons

Don't mean to sound too stupid, but where do you all find all these coupons you use. I sometimes see them in the stores, but our little once a week newspaper does not have any?

That is one problem, I don't know how to use a printer or even put paper in it. I have no one to help me cause my husband knows nothing about computers. I never get coupons in the mail.

A wonderful question! I'm working on several articles for SavingAdvice's grocery coupon guide right now!

Hot off the presses,

http://www.grocerycouponguide.com/be...d-coupons.html

explains many different ways to find newspaper coupons, even if they aren't in YOUR newspaper

There are really 4 sources: newspapers, in store, from the manufacturers/mail, internet, and then a few miscellaneous ones.

Of course, joining a coupon train, sharing coupons between different people, is a great way, too! Ima, if you haven't thought about it, you should!

There are quite a few articles on the site

http://grocerycouponguide.com

that you might find helpful. It's really the "coupon information" site for savingadvice, and Jeffrey has, as always, some excellent advice there.

That's a good point, flash. Sharing coupons is a great way to get the coupons you need. Some libraries have a coupon sharing area too.

Also ask relatives or friends if they will save coupons for you. A lot of people just throw the advertisements (and coupons) away when they get the paper. They'd probably be happy to save them for you.

Thanks, but I don't have any relatives at all, and my few friends are certainly not frugal, they spend $5000 for a party!!

My friends are not frugal either. Today we went to visit some friends. Instead of cooking dinner, they ordered 2 pizzas with soda, then we had a big cake bought from a store, and lots of other storebought ready food. The only thing that was homecooked was tea. I think all that cost them at least $60.

I told my dh, if I have to invite them, I am not ordering pizza or buying anything expencive. I will cook a dinner and make a cake to make sure it costs me less than $15 and so we would have some leftovers for the next morning. I would rather spend a few hours in the kitchen than spending too much.

I use lots of coupons. And time that I spend clipping them, is worth it. Even if I end up throwing a few of them away.

I go to lots of parties. These people are ceo's of banks, engineers, etc. We certainly do not fit in, money wise! They spend more on their nails a year than I have spent on clothes my entire life. I don't think they know what a coupon is.
When I have a party, I (and my husband) fix all the food. They have their parties catered, even have the food served and then cleaned up.

Even engineers and CEOs use coupons

dealagogo is a great site for trading coupons and sales info. I just found out my safeway sales are better than the ones in Washington State!

ima saver:
i can relate to you... all of our friends on the island, are loaded.. millionaires, billionaires.. they are frugal though... they don't pay for anything. they want everything free... let me tell you, when i invite them over or they just drop by unannounced.. they are so at home at my house and love it, because i cook at home... they all tell me i am a good cook too.. funny story:
one time we were supposed to go to the wine company for dinner... i had already prepared crockpot pinto beans, cornbread, coleslaw, kielbasa and sauerkraut, green beans, and cheesecake...for the next day.. anyway, we met them at the wine company and i told them i really liked the smell of what i had already made at home.. and the menu just did not sound good to me today... they loaded up in their car and came home with me and ate supper...lol.....

That is a great story!! I will be going to another one of those parties this weekend. The last one cost over $5000. We have to clip a lot of coupons to save that much money!
