This site's freebies or the Latest Freebies list is a good place to start.

Your back garden is a great place to get things free - plant them! I have lemons, mandarins, herbs, tomatoes, apples, pears, veggies etc etc - its a bit of effort but seeds cost nothing (get them from the fruit you buy, replant cut off onion tops etc etc etc ) I does save money (unfortunately I spend it on other things I can't grow like chocolate!!)

[quote=contrary1;40056]I haven't bought food for a few years now. My house mate person is on a full disability and also gets food stamps. She does all the shopping and I do the cooking. So, with some back to basics sorts of kitchen magic........we manage to feed however many people are here with the food stamps the state gives for one adult. TA-DA.

I do chip in money if there is something over & above the typical budget, usually the holidays get extra food funding........but otherwise, we eat well.//..............................................This is called Welfare Fraud. Food stamps are based on the number of people in the home and the incomes of every individual in the home. You stated you all eat together, and use the food stamps assigned to one. Not frugal.... dishonest.

Default disposable dish cloths

I don't buy disposable dish cloths anymore. I bought some from the $2 shop and use them, wash and reuse them when they are dirty.

We download all of our movies from a web-sharing site. We curl up in bed with the laptop and watch the movies. We are going to get a dvd player (currently dont have one) that is able to play these movies once burned to a dvd player so we can watch them in the LR.
We've went through 2 cheapy DVD players recently, anyone have any advice for a DVD player that wont break the bank yet will last more than 4 months??

Thanks to CVS (I only have one card- so I am not cheating the system)

I never buy most of my tolietries items anymore, they are given to me by CVS- Check my blog for extended details on my CVS deals. I have enough FREE toothpaste, toothbrushes, Johnson's Buddies soap, Bodywash, Painkiller, Vitamins, Shaving cream, Razers, Lotion, & Coughdrops, to last a year at current review. I only pickup tolitry items now, if I can get it FREE or make store credit to buy something else for FREE (papertowels etc).
