Wink do you have a failure to launch kid?

our youngest son is 29 years old and still lives with us.. he has worked in several states, and has had apartments, stayed at motels, etc... he still keeps home with us.. he was engaged for 5 years and he broke off the engagement, she started to barhop.. and he does not. i really thought they would make it. he has our second home full of his stored stuff, and is currently working in this area... no appartment... and he mooches...... but, we let him... he is very thrifty with his money and plans ahead, uses coupons, etc.. sells on ebay... just enjoys his life and is happy.

Nope....My kiddos all couldn't wait to launch....and are all doing great! I am a blessed mom that they all chose to live close by. I talk to all three of my launched kids everyday.

We are a very close-knit family.

Ok, i don't have kids. But, I am a child and I thought I'd share my family's situation.

I have 4 sisters. My oldest sister lived at home until about a month before she got married. She was 21 when she moved out. My second oldest sister graduated college last August and moved out within a month. She was 23. My third oldest sister is 21 and plans on living at home at least for another year. Probably a lot longer. She is considering getting her masters right after she graduates and if she does, will probably remain living at home. I am 19 and live at home as well. My current plan has be scheduled to move out when I get married. This will either be when I'm 20. Either the semester before I graduate or the semester after. We'll see. My youngest sister, she's only 10. Who knows what she'll end up doing.

The reason why none of us have moved out while in college is because none of us believe going in debt is the right thing to do. In order to move out, we'd have to go in debt. None of us can/could afford to go to school and pay rent, bills, etc. But, my parents aren't able to help out with school (although all of us are/were on HOPE scholarship, which pays for all tuition and some books), so they figure the best way they can help out is allow us to live at home rent free.

Also, Thrift Ray, my two sisters that don't live at home both live within two miles. The oldest lives in the same neighborhood as me and the other lives in an apartment complex just down the road. And, the funny thing is, my boyfriend just decided to move into the same apartment complex. So, we are all VERY close together. And, it seems like EVERYONE is still here at the house every single day.

I am not a parent yet either--

But I can tell you I graduated from HS at age 17, turned 18 over the summer and started college that fall. College was 25 minutes from my parents house, but I lived on campus anyway. We couldn't stay on campus over the summers, so I lived at home over the summer after my freshman, sophomore, and junior years of college. I worked full time over the summers and breaks, and about 20-30 hours during the school year. Senior Year- Fall semester (also my last semester) of College, I had just turned 21, and I moved into an apartment with 2 people I went to school with. I could have stayed at home, but I don't know I would have been able to get work done there for a number of reasons... and rent at this apartment was supercheap, so it was a good way to "try out" living away from home and not on a college campus before moving out of the area the following summer. I finished classes in December, was hired at one of the places where I did an internship through college.

I worked anywhere from 30-50 hours/week there until July after I officially graduated, then I moved to Princeton NJ with my boyfriend who is working on his PhD. I turned 22 a week after moving, and started working here full time within a month after moving. I applied to graduate school and have been accepted to start this summer for my master's degree.

My sister graduated from High School at age 18, chose not to go to college, has worked full time since graduating from hs, and just turned 20. She just found an apartment and moved out of my parent's house last month.
