well, it's frugal and unfrugal at the same time: i bought $30 worth of unexpected meat. hey, when the carnivore gods speak, one must listen.

Picked up my shirts and khakis from the commercial laundry where I usually have them done. Worse yet, I paid the bill with a credit card to avoid having to make an extra stop for cash.

Using a credit card is only unfrugal if you won't be able to pay the bill in full when it comes. Otherwise, its a smart financial decision.

Sorry, I was unclear. The use of the credit card has less to do with frugality than with personal goals. I prefer to avoid using credit for daily expenses.

The card is paid in full at the end of the month.

i'm such a weenie... it was 37 this morning w/ a windchill of 29, and my coat is still in storage! i was cold & hungry on my way to work, my yogurt just didn't sound good at all, so i stopped and bought breakfast & a cuppa joe. bah temptation!

Well, I went out and bought puppy food, also opened a can of vienna sausage and feed it to puppy that has been dropped off. I didn't need to spend the money, but I wanted to. I can't stand to see animals hungry, so i will buy more this weekend.

I planned to make bratwurst for DH and his brother for lunch while they were building our shed...got caught up playing with DS upstairs and burned the bratwurst.

Didn't feel like cooking anything else, so I ordered a pizza. But, I did pick up so I didn't have to give the delivery person a tip.

Bought Christmas cards and ate lunch at Johnny Rockers. I had a great time hanging out with my sweetie though and there were no crowds. That never happens in Destin, FL.

Drat, Drat stopped at Starbucks for a peppermint mocha $3.60 HO, HO, HO (not!) was having major case of "ideserveititis" yesterday (that I resisted) but this morning was cold, my throat was sore, and I overslept...will be good for rest of the day!

these are easy to make yourself if you're interested. keep a bottle of peppermint oil (extract will work) and hot cocoa mix at home. make the cocoa as directed but use coffee instead of milk or water, add a few drops of peppermint to taste, and TADA!

even yummier: mix the liquid up in a measuring cup or something you can pour from. take a coffe cup and fill it about 3/4 the way with whipped cream (real stuff from a can works great). pour the hot coffee mix over the whipped cream, and you have a peppermint mocha cappucino! YUM!!!

went to the grocery store without a list just for a "few" things. came out $142.00 slimmer (well i won't be any slimmer after i eat it!)
