I went in last night and visited all my affinity programs; my points, timespoints, buzzagent, and did some "free" shopping for the boyfriends birthday and Christmas.

I enjoy a nice breakfast and lunch today... Only spent 8.62$, but I haven't had a good meals for awhile now, so that's a good treat ^.^". Well okay, that's not much compare to the usual meal price... But I don't eat out often, so that's unfrugal. =P

Once I put 2 large loads in the dryer too to save money. That was when I lived in the appartment and had to use quarters to pay for each wash or dry. Everything came out wrinkled and some items were still half wet. That's something I will never do again unless those loads are small and most items are fast-drying.

Took my best friend to a Hookah bar for her birthday...

Unfortuantly 4 of us turned into 8 of us (all her friends). When the bill showed up the hookahs were all on my tab and no one offered to help pay for their share. I didnt want to make a scene on her birthday so I just paid the tab myself.

Next time we'll just have a personal night out

A hookah is a Middle Eastern device that uses heat from coals to burn moistened flavored tobacco, which is filtered through water.

Its usually a social thing, which Ive only done a few other times before...and my friend wanted me to take her so she could try it. Apparently because of the way it is prepared and burned it is less harmful than normal smoking, but I limit my intake, regardless

Around here they just chew tobacco (bakky) and spit in on the ground. For unfrugal, i bought another copy of the magazine that my husband has a house in. I have now purchased 3!

No, no....I was posting an UNfrugal thing. I didn't put them in the dryer at the same time. I actually used the dryer twice, a very unfrugal thing for me. But I had a bag full of crud from vacation.....

I agree that overstuffed dryers are bad news.

The most unfrugal thing I did today was to spend on my computer setup.

Bought a new hard drive. OK, but the drive I bought is the biggest Ultra-ATA drive currently made for the PC. It uses the new vertical data storage technology that's just being released. And while I was spending, I bought a powered USB hub.

I will now go over to the "What frugal thing did you do today?" thread and post about buying both items on sale and using a store gift card to defray part of the cost.

This dual posting is what's known as "buttering your bread on both sides without getting sticky fingers."

Bought new flooring for the entire house with interest-free financing for one year. I have used the interest free offers numerous times in the past and been successful in paying it off every time (52-in tv, sectional couch, computer). I know many of you are against that, but just like most anything, it is not a bad thing if you know how to manage it. We have plenty of money in our emergency fund and we will NEVER pick up more than one interest-free or interest bearing loan at a time.

We're also going to dinner tonight to celebrate since both my brother-in-law and I have birthdays this coming week.

I don't think it is a bad thing, just make sure you pay it off about a month early. They try and trip you up on the dates. I did it when I bought all my new furniture. However, they added credit insurance to my bill and I had to have that taken off. I paid them off one month early to avoid the big finance charge.

Are you aware that at least once a year, and more often if you do LOTS of laundry, that you are supposed to run it through an entire cycle on HOT water with one cup bleach and absolutely NOTHING else in it, no clothes, no towels, etc.

Whenever I do all the bedding to change from spring/summer to fall/winter and back again vice versa, when I'm done laundering all the blankets and bedspreads, etc., I always do this.

Your washing machine will last MUCH longer, with no lint clogging up the innards, and you'll NEVER have any smelly laundry - which might indicate that you've got mold spores growing or some type of bacteria.

Really, if you don't already do this Bleach-Water-Cleansing of your washing machine, go get a flashlight and examine just how dirty your washer currently is, and after the HOT water bleach treatment how sparkling white it becomes.

Also, whenever I do this, I always make sure that the next load I do in the machine is WHITES, because if there is any bleach residue whatsoever, it won't harm the whites.

I had to mail back my halloween costume. It was heavy, so it cost me almost $9 to mail it back.
