I hve to confess I've started my Christmas shopping. I have a niece with Cerebral Palsy, and she's usually a huge challenge to buy for. I've discovered that "memory wire" chokers and bracelets are somethign she really likes, as she doesn't need anyone else to put them on/take them off for her. I went on Ebay and found some "motivated sellers". A number of them also wrote me to say if I had a particular need they'd be happy to fill it reasonably. Many of these folks made product for bazaars and craft shows, and they didn't sell well. I've spent less than $20, and have gotten 3-4 chokers and 12 bracelets! Also setting $25 a paycheck into a Christmas Club type account. If shopping is done far enough ahead, or requires less cash I'll have more to spend in England.

I too have a neice with a handicap. She has spinabifida. She is 21, but when she had a necessary surgury she had a heartattack on the operating table. Now she is back to the stage of a nine year old's mentality. She is so hard to buy for. But she does like to listen to audio tapes she can not read anymore. Well some basic words. But she loves to bead. making necklaces and bracelets. But the beads are so expensive. Does any one know of a site that is reasonable. But she is sweet and delightful.
