Default cheap tickets help?

how would you go about getting inexpensive tickets for a teen girl? l like to a theater show, or an ice show or something. I have seen mainly prices in the hundreds, no way I can do that for a birthday.

For the theatre, you could check to see if there are preview or dress rehearsal showings, with reduced seat prices. Also, a lot of theatres have 'rush' tickets - no guarantee that you'd get seats, but generally if you're in line early (the theatre can give you this info,) you will get some seats at a reduced price. Lastly, you could offer her the 'experience' of ushering, then you get to view the show for free. I know around my area, theatre, opera and ballet are all available in that manner. Call the places directly, rather than through a ticket selling place - ask them about bargains. Not sure how to do ice shows cheaply. Good luck!

I belong to a group called "audience extras", which is online. The yearly membership is 85., and each ticket costs 3. You can go to the website and see what shows are available each night; theoretically, you could go to something almost every night.

It might not work for this occasion, but it's definately worth checking out if you're near NYC and like the theatre.
