Oops, sorry Ima, nothing for GA.
Katwoman- Thanks so much for that link- that's pretty cool!

Geez. I buy the cheapest I can fine, considering what it is used for...Plus, if I get the 'softy' kind, my kids tend to use so much they clog the stool. However, I do buy the good kleenex, as we dont use TP on the nose.

I think that is rediculous! I buy cotonelle and I don't like cheap toilet paper. Any suggestions?
Hi Ima
I just found the Cottonelle Double toilet rolls x 4 here on special last week @ $4.98 and regular price is $6.68 AUS. The single x 8 of the same it's bottom price is $3.98 on rare occasions. regular price $6.68. So I buy a 3ply brand that works out @ 50c per roll on special. Which I have a raincheck for this month that I must go and buy soon!

Talking Re: toilet paper

Ha, it's a funny topic, but I thought I'd post because I wrote an article on how you can save your money on Toilet Paper, but it's not in a way you might think.

If your interested you could view it here

It will have you considering your bathroom etiquette.

About coupons, saving money on toilet paper here in Canada, is practically impossible, no coupons in site. I ain't gonna hound no companies, they think I'm to cheap to wipe my :censored:

Hi Lisajane – I have read a tip many years ago on the same subject, it was about teaching kids to fold instead of wad the toilet paper and using 4 sheets instead of 20 sheets at a time. Which I thought kind of funny at the time. But it’s true in what you have said.

My only comment is to check your date in the article.

I found a coupon last march and really stocked up on the kind I like at only $1 something for a four pack. I should not have to buy any more toilet paper this year! Toilet paper and sprite, I have plenty of!

I do the same as Debtfree, 36 double rolls at Sam's for under 12. I think I have about two packages total so I have LOTS of TP!

Default Re: toilet paper

think of the 3 keys to being frugal:

1. Use it less
2. Make it last
3. Get it cheap

I use toilet paper less by using flannel wipes when I pee. I have the babies' diaper changer right next to the toilet, so I just drop the wipes in there and wash them with the diapers. I bought the flannel at walmart for $1 per yard and made the wipes 2-ply by sewing two squares together. They're very, very soft, and I like them so much more than TP.

To make it last when I do use it, just use less. Most frugalis say they use 3-4 squares. I use 5.

And you all know how to get it cheap. Buy double or triple rolls, on sale, with a coupon (if your pampered butt needs the name brand stuff) and stock up. The rafters above the garage seems like a good place for mega packs of TP. For those of you who must have name brand, you should know that TP is just like every other product: name brand doesn't always mean better, or even different manufacturer. I've seen it first hand at a factory: they fill up the orders and slap name brand packaging on half, and store brand packaging on the other half, even though the product is identical.

EEEEWWWWWWW
A werid subject for me. I kept looking at the figures and my family usage and over and over again it came up Scott toliet paper. I have only teen boys in the house and when they use TP they use it!!!!!!!!!
I examined it over and over again. No matter what type is in the holder the same amount was used. So for my home.....I had to switch to Scott......
I get it ONLY in Bulk when it is on sale for 2 double roll 12 packs for 9.00
There is one store that will do this every now and again but limits is like 4 packages so!
Since there is 4 stores in an area around 4 miles total apart I hit them all twice!
So right now on hand I have 27 packages of 12 which equals 327 double rolls
OM Goodness! LOL
