Wow that's expensive. I always thought the States was cheaper than Canada. I paid $1.97 for the last one that I bought.

I think you can find just about anything cheaper if you wait for a good sale. I use Degree (which I like) and got two sticks for about $.25 each after combining a sale with a doubled coupon. Otherwise, I think it's about $2 a stick.

Dh uses Right Guard. I've been using Soft and Dry lately. They seem to work fine and whenever Walgreens puts them on sale they're all but free. (Usually a BOGO and then coupons on top o f that.)

I've been filling in so many of the free samples of deodorant, I shouldn't have to buy any pretty soon! Definately not brand conscious here....all products seem to work pretty much the same to me.

I'd hate to know what our new deodorant costs... After reading about the harm that can come from using most, if not all, of the deodorant sold in stores because they have aluminum, which can lead to alzheimer's... Now we use this weird organic spray stuff... I think it's called Crystal (?)

Here you go: http://www.thecrystal.com/

The body spray is $3.99 and the wide stick is $5.99
The spray seems to work well & I'm about to order the wide stick to try... it says the wide stick will last 1 year w/ proper use...

I believe anti-perspirant has aluminum chloride, but deoderant, which doesn't prevent sweat but makes it smell nice, does not.

I think you might be mistaking deodorant for anti-perspirant; anti-p. has aluminum, deoderant does not.

I will look for that Crystal stuff - sounds good.

On a different note - we used to buy cheap tooth paste, now we buy Tom's, this may be a splurge but...

It is so hard to find just deodorant in stores (grocery stores, large retail chain stores, etc). I have to visit a Health food store to get mine. I use Liquid Rock by Kiss My Face. Love it! Pricey, but well worth it.

I found the crystal. It was $5.29 for the body spray, and the bottle was small.
